

Dr. Stephen Ura practiced general dentistry in Nashua for 38 years before retiring from general practice to focus on dental sleep medicine. During that time, he was listed as a New Hampshire “Best Dentist” since it’s inception in 2004. Dr. Ura now applies that same commitment to excellence in his dental sleep practice.
Dr. Ura has extensive training in dental sleep medicine including the Tuft University Dental Sleep Residency and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine’s Mastery program. He is a Diplomate with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Ura received his dental education at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and received an engineering degree from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.
During his career, Dr. Ura was president of the Nashua Dental Society and the New Hampshire Dental Society. He then went onto a position with the American Dental Association where he chaired the Committee of the Code which develops the procedure code numbers when submitting to insurance. He has been a career long member of the American Dental Association, New Hampshire Dental Society and Nashua Dental Society. Dr. Ura earned the Life Long Service Award from the Academy of General Dentistry. He also is a member of the American College of Dentists as well as a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Ura is an avid gourmet cook, Lake Winnipesaukee boater, golfer, Michigan football fanatic, husband, and grandfather of three grandchildren.
